The final match of the Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cup between Sahgal Stud and Cavalry-USPA was a closely-contested one.
Representing the royal family of Kashmir were Vikramaditya Singh and Chitrangada Raje Singh. Said Vikramaditya, “This is such a close game, it’s difficult to say who’ll take home the cup,” when we caught up with him at the end of the third chukker.

A four chukker game, the match started with an advantage of a goal-and-a-half for the Sahgal Stud team.
The 10-goal match that Cavalry-USPA won by the slimmest of margins also saw an unfortunate event. A lady guest in the audience, who was seated in the front row, was hit by the ball during the match. Her forehead started bleeding, but before the situation got out of hand, Nafisa Ali took care of the situation. She put her dupatta on the woman’s head to stop the flow of blood from the wound.
Also, present at the polo match was Sangeeta Bijlani. She was in the company of Navneet and Kitty Kalra. Teasing the couple, she called them lovebirds.
